He knew that white diamond was code for the kind of woman forbidden to a man like him, but that only fueled the fire burning deep within him. She was the one he wanted, and only he could give her what she needed. Determined to have her, he vows to lock her away from the world if that’s what it takes to keep her.

Excerpt:
Vicki felt uneasy with a man in her house and she wanted to ask him to leave, but she also wanted to know why he had come to her house at such an odd time of the night. “Why did you come into my house?”

“Curiosity, I suppose. I watched you move in and I know you live here alone.” His eyes seemed to become darker as he flashed his white teeth in a wide smile.

“What do you want from me?”

“Ah, the pretty white princess is just like all the rest, is she?”

“No, and I’m not a princess. I’m divorced and I have a low paying job.” Vicki bit her lip. She should never have admitted that she was divorced. Now he knew that she was truly alone.

“You don’t say? I see that you’ve discovered the dark secret of the neighborhood.” Vicki gave him a quizzical look. Wilson held out his hand. “Come on, I’ll show you.

Wilson’s house was filled with beautiful artwork and ancient relics. “Passed down through the generations,” he answered to her unasked question.

“You have nice things.”

“You sound surprised.”

“I didn’t mean it that way. Is this what you wanted to show me?”

“No.” He led her to the very back of the house and opened a door that Vicki assumed led to the basement. Instead, it opened to a room with thick cement walls.

Vicki spun around. “This is just…”

“Like the one in your house?”

Vicki nodded her head in disbelief.

Wilson gently touched her chin and startled her. “Hey, I didn’t mean to bring you down. It is what it is.”

Vicki looked up into big dark eyes as she fought back tears. She blinked several times and then she felt the strong arms wrap around her. Her eyes met the man’s waist and she slowly wrapped her slender arms around him. His skin was smooth and warm and Vicki didn’t want to let go. Her husband had never held her like this. “How do you do it?” Her words were mumbled, but Wilson had heard them.

“Do what?”

“Survive…like this.”

Wilson took a deep breath. “What choice do I have?”

Vicki shook her head against Wilson’s chest. He stroked her long blonde hair, running the silky strands through his fingers. Vicki slowly looked up again, and Wilson lowered his lips to hers. It was the first time a man had wanted her in a long time and it felt good, too good, and Vicki opened her mouth to receive him. She kissed him as she would a lover, pressing her body to him and standing on tiptoe to give him more. She could feel him grow hard against her and she wanted to feel him deep inside of her.

Wilson pulled back and looked into her eyes, questioning her. “What do you want from me, Vicki?”

“I want you,” she whispered.

As a submissive, Kara meets a wealthy and charming older man whose motives are kept hidden from her, Jenna will do anything for the prized award of a beautiful necklace made of the rarest seashells on the planet, and Heidi is lured into the private hospital of Dr. Harrison, a man from her past.

Excerpt:
There was a smile on Harrison’s face when Heidi entered the room. His back was to her, but he had caught the scent of her perfume earlier when he walked past her in the lobby.

“Have a seat, Heidi,” he said in a deep baritone that Heidi thought sounded familiar, but it was a voice she couldn’t place.

“I have a resume.”

With his hands in his pockets and continuing to stare out the window, Harrison said, “That won’t be necessary.”

“What do you mean? Has the job been filled?”

Harrison turned toward her and it was then that she remembered the profile. Her blood froze in her veins as he turned to face her. It all came back in a flash of lightning. The dark eyes, the face that could show kindness or cruelty depending upon the man’s many moods, the lips that were thick and soft when the two of them had kissed years ago, and the slender body that had filled out somewhat to form the broad physique of a grown man. He was sexy in a raw, edgy sort of way, but the desire to be refined had never been a part of him, though he craved respect.

“Harrison?”

“It’s been a while, hasn’t it?” The smirk on his face would be forever etched on her mind.

“I didn’t know you…”

“You didn’t know I was in charge of this enterprise, did you?”

“No. It doesn’t seem to fit you.”

“I could say the same for you. You didn’t seem like the Florence Nightengale type when I knew you.”

“People change, Harrison.”

“That’s where you’re wrong, Heidi.”

“And you’re an expert on human behavior?”

“Growing up with an alcoholic father and a mother who enabled his…well…behavior makes me an expert on a lot of things.”

Heidi looked down at the floor. She remembered well the many moods of Harrison’s father. He could vacillate between happy and angry faster than anyone she knew. She couldn’t remember the number of times she had witnessed the beatings Harrison received at the hands of his father. She shook her head as if to rid her mind of the memories.

“How did you hear of us?”

“There was an ad in the newspaper.”

“Ah, yes, the trusty pied piper. You may have noticed that I didn’t advertise on-line. The internet is so impersonal, and it brings out the worst of human behavior, wouldn’t you agree? Tucked away up here, no one questions my motives because few know this place exists. But the job is yours if you want it.”

Heidi tried to see behind the deep set eyes of her long ago beloved, but in his eyes she saw nothing but darkness. There was little emotion behind them, as was his intention. Years of abuse had instilled in him a stoicism rarely seen.

“What would I do here?”

“You will attend to the subjects, or patients, while I carry on my research.”

“Are the patients part of a drug study?”

“Just do as you’re told, Heidi. You should be good at taking orders.”

An American Dynasty

An American Dynasty
Click on Cover Above to Purchase

An American Dynasty is the story of one family’s rise from the extreme poverty of the Great Depression to a dynasty of wealth and politics.

They are a family filled with empathy for their fellow countrymen as Jack Gilbert struggles with the paradoxes of the Great Depression: “Why are people hungry when there is enough food for everyone? Why are so many people without shelter when we can provide shelter for everyone? Why is there such an abundance of ignorance when we have the ability to educate everyone?”

They are a family of lust: “…they realize they are naked in a business office on a Sunday morning. Mary epitomizes the moment by getting up from the sofa and dancing naked around the office. Jack is in hysterics.”

They are a family of extreme passion: “Is that how you see me, a suckling on my breast? Is that your vision of a woman’s role in your idyllic society? Well, I certainly don’t want any part of it.”

They are a family that knows death: “He sees one more German still alive…he raises his arm with the pistol in his hand and shoots him twice in the head.”

They are a family fearful for their country’s future: “He has one final thought before entering politics. Freedom is not lost, it is stolen, and the thief is absolute wealth.

Excerpt:
Joshette parts her legs and tells Jack to hurry. Jack lowers her onto the desk and pulls her gently to him. Afterward, they go to the Colonial Hotel for dinner and drinks, but are relatively silent.

“You don’t need to make excuses for my behavior, Jack. I wanted sex, and you were in a position to give me what I wanted.”

“But I felt more than animal gratification.” He smiles a naughty smile, then continues, “I think we’re going to have to do this again.”

“You are an attractive man, a man that every woman wants, but you are still a man.”

For the next two days Jack and Joshette discover passion like nothing either has experienced. Jack isn’t this close to his own wife.

Forced to leave his French lover following the war, Jack returns to California and forms the Gilbert Industries Corporation, firmly entrenched in war profiteering, and becomes a millionaire before the age of thirty. When his uncle is killed, he inherits the man’s wealth and purchases an extravagant house in the Hollywood Hills. As new wars begin, the Gilberts become even wealthier, and Jack’s idealist beliefs all but vanish. After all, it is some of his businesses that manufacture weapons for war. But when his son goes to war, he is torn. He knows the horrors of war, and thoughts of his French lover that he left behind long ago begin to haunt him.

The Novelist

The Novelist
Leah ran her fingers through her hair, pushing it away from her face, and Dr. Holcomb watched as the blonde strands fell lazily at her shoulders. She was beautiful, but a woman like her would never see a man like him as a romantic partner. With her bubbly personality, she had obviously been a cheerleader, probably married a jock right out of college. She looked at him, her blue eyes bright.

“What kind of romance are you looking for?”

Inside, he was screaming that he wanted a romance with her, a bodice-ripping, can’t get enough of you romance, but he shrugged his shoulders. “I read one of your books. It was pretty hot.”

Leah’s cheeks felt hot and her face turned crimson. “You read one of mine? I’m embarrassed.”

He put his hand on hers. “Don’t be. That’s what I want, the kind of romance you wrote about.”

Leah knew the doctor’s history, though he didn’t know that she knew. His first marriage had ended in divorce due to an affair he had ten years ago. The woman had lied about being pregnant and threatened to tell his wife if he didn’t divorce her. Once they were married, she faked a miscarriage, but medical records don’t lie. A few years later he discovered the truth when there had been a discrepancy on her pharmacy records. She had been on birth control the entire time. Leah learned that the doctor’s ex-wife had taken their two children halfway around the world to her home country of India and denied him access to them. His calls were blocked, mail was returned, and he now regretted what he had done, but Leah had little tolerance for men who cheated. They were a dime a dozen. Like the saying goes, “If they’ll do it with you, they’ll do it to you.” Leah realized she had been spacing out when Dr. Holcomb snapped his fingers.

“Where did you go?”

“Oh, sorry. Let me see how to segue into a hot scene.”

The doctor watched as Leah’s fingers began to type. Her petite features made him want to take her into his arms and keep her safe from the outside world. Her skin was as white as snow and made her appear delicate and helpless.

“What do you think of that? Too much…too little?”

“It’s perfect,” he added. Leah was perfect. She wasn’t older than he, like his first wife, nor was she much younger, like his current wife. She was the same age as he. He knew that from her chart.

After an hour had gone by and many scenes of an erotic nature written, Dr. Holcomb turned to Leah and stated, “I married the first woman who went out with me. We’re divorced now.”

Pointing to the doctor’s wedding band, Leah said, “And you’re married again.” It wasn’t a question.

“Yes,” he admitted, looking away. “But I’ll be divorced again soon.”

Lucky Ones

Lucky Ones
Tad and Jansy were young and idealistic when he went to war and she went to college. While Tad learned to kill, Jansy gave herself to the first man who wanted her. They always thought that one day they would be together, but when Tad returns from the violence of war, he is different. He’s a killing machine. As for Jansy, she has experienced much more than the touch of another man.

Excerpt:
Joe’s smile was all it took to score a yes response from Jansy. He was a grown man, with a muscular body, dark hair, and eyes that sparkled when he smiled. But it was his moustache that made him sexy. The hair on his upper lip was full, unlike the thin layer of fuzz that men Jansy’s age were capable of sprouting. There was just a hint of chest hair peeking out from the top of his shirt, and Jansy felt an irresistible urge to run her hands through the mass of black, feeling the warmth of his chest, as she imagined making love to a man for the first time.

The following day, Joe took her to a house at the edge of campus where she was educated very quickly in various co-ed extracurricular activities. The place reeked of marijuana, and there were couples in heated arguments about the war, other couples were practically ‘doing it’ right in front of her, and she nearly gasped when she noticed a group of men with shaved heads and white robes. They were chanting something unfamiliar to her, but she knew what they were…members of a cult.

“Joe, I don’t think…”

He took her hand in his and spoke quietly. “There’s no pressure here. Everyone is free to be as they please,” he said with a chuckle at his rhyming.

Jansy wasn’t so sure about the place. “Who lives here?”

“Anyone and everyone. I live up there. Come on, I’ll show you.”

Not wanting to seem like a child, Jansy went with Joe to the upper floor of the house. He kissed her on the cheek and led her into his bedroom. When he handed her a beer, she took a big gulp and then another. “It’s good.”

“It’s imported. The old man insists on nothing but the best. He’s a corporate king…his words, not mine. He’s always chasing the dollar and he always wants more.”

Joe looked into Jansy’s glazed eyes, and then he kissed her like no other man had kissed her. He pulled his shirt up and over his head, and Jansy couldn’t resist touching the thick hair on his chest. It was soft, and she ran her hands from his neck to the waistband of his jeans. She hadn’t noticed Joe unbuttoning her blouse until she felt his hands on her naked breasts. She felt as if she were floating. It didn’t seem real. She could hear the low rumble of voices downstairs, and the room seemed to close in around her, and then there was nothing but blackness.

Dirty Deeds

Dirty Deeds
Dark shadows follow Jack Black and his brother, Reynold, wherever their lust for beautiful women and hunger for power and control lead them. A scapegoat for their underground sex ring is what they need, and they think they’ve found one in an overzealous surgeon, until a few of his patients mysteriously die.

Excerpt:
Dr. Shelborn placed the final suture in the patient and barked the usual orders at the chief resident. The operation had been a complicated one, but he wouldn’t trade places with anyone. This was where he belonged, and he would be damned if he would give up his place without a fight.

The heartland of America was well known for its wide open spaces, family farms, and polite, friendly people. Hardworking and neighborly, no one would have guessed that dark secrets were woven into its fabric. It was in this utopian facsimile that Jack and Reynold Black were strategically making their mark on the world stage. With healthcare in a state of upheaval, the Black brothers’ dream of owning the system outright by the end of the decade would surely become a reality, though they cared little about the quality of health of the citizens. Control and dominance were what they craved. What they needed was an insider willing to do their dirty work, and they knew exactly where to find one.

The hospital administrator agreed to do the Black brothers’ bidding, but not for nothing. He assumed the brothers were being bankrolled by their father, and he wanted his share. Once he had gained their trust, he let them in on his underground operation.

“Gentlemen, meet Sebastian.” Sebastian nodded. “Sebastian has just returned from abroad, bringing with him a priceless commodity. Show them, Sebastian.”

Sebastian brought up a screen that displayed his latest conquest.

“Women? Are you running some kind of sex trade? Because if you are, we want no part of it.”

“Not at all. The women come here of their free will. We match them with husbands they have chosen through our website.”

There was something unsettling about Sebastian, and the brothers were determined to find out more.

***

Jack rented a house for him and his new bride, and he was in awe of her from the beginning. Baking bread and sewing her own clothes, she fit in well with the natives of the region. The one thing she and Jack hadn’t done yet was consummate their marriage. Jack was afraid to touch such a delicate flower as Tatiana. Having no experience in matters of a sexual nature, Tatiana waited for Jack to guide her, thinking little of his hesitance.

As much as Jack wanted to make love to Tatiana, he knew it would be her first time, and he wasn’t sure if she was ready. He also didn’t know if the two of them would be together very long. Was it fair to Tatiana? She surprised him when she gently touched her fingers to his face, sliding them down to his lips and outlining their fullness. Jack took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. He loved what he and his brother had built together and he needed to focus on that. Falling in love had not been part of the plan.

While at work, Jack tried to keep his thoughts about Tatiana in check, but she was distracting him from his original goal. He was falling for the young woman, but he didn’t dare let Reynold know his secret. Sebastian was much more difficult to fool. He watched Jack’s comings and goings with the eyes of an eagle. Tatiana was sweet, grateful and passionate, but more importantly, she was faithful. Any man would be thrilled to have a wife like her, and Sebastian wished he had kept her for himself.

Hard as Hell

Hard As Hell
When Kara’s roommate introduces her to a wealthy and charming older man, she has no idea that charm and polite words mean little in his world. When she learns his true motive for desiring her, it appears to be too late to correct her unfortunate mistake of becoming part of his far reaching empire, with his informants willing to do anything for him.

Excerpt:
Kara gasped when she opened a box containing a strand of pearls and diamonds. “Are they real?”

Grant laughed at the naïvete of young Kara. “I will never settle for anything but the real thing.”

The conviction in his voice was on the edge of sinister, and Kara flinched a little at the touch of his finger making its way down her arm. He hooked the pearls at the back of her neck and led her to his bedroom. Behind the closed doors, he lay on the bed and ordered Kara to undress. Kara slid the zipper down in the black dress and looked into the dark brooding eyes of her master. Yes, this man was her master whether she wanted to admit it or not. He was her puppet master and when he pulled her strings, she danced for him.

***

Kara and Denise hurried aboard Grant’s jet and took a seat in the lap of luxury. Kara wondered why she heard the voice of Grant’s driver over the loudspeaker.

“He’s flying this thing?”

“Guess so.” Kara had no idea Grant’s driver was also a pilot, but there was a lot she didn’t know.

The airplane came to a stop with a jolt and the pilot entered the room where Denise and Kara were waiting. “Welcome home, ladies.”

Denise hopped out of her seat, eager to begin the adventure, but Kara noticed the somewhat sadistic, or was it hesitant, smile that formed on the pilot’s face. “Home?”

With the man looming over her, she felt a little fearful of him. His name, she learned, was Drago. He was a big man with broad shoulders and a wingspan that could rival a small aircraft. Kara had done a bit of snooping when Grant was asleep and discovered that Drago had been born and raised in Lithuania when it was part of the Soviet Union, that he had been trained to kill while working for the KGB, and that he loved vodka. He towered over her as he helped her down the steps.

“Grant is waiting at his private estate.”

A streaming light appeared and the magnificence of Grant’s island estate shone brightly. Kara’s breath caught as she took in the sight. The door opened and Grant stood in the entrance with his arms folded. His stance clearly indicated that he thought he was the king of the world. The two young women approached him slowly, as if waiting for some kind of signal from a higher being.

“Come in, ladies.”

Kara nodded, took her friend by the hand, and ran up the steps. “I didn’t know anyone could own an entire island.”

“My dear, Denise, everything is for sale.”

She looked around the interior and nodded. It was Kara who caught the true meaning of Grant’s words.

“Where in the world are we?”

“My privacy is of the utmost importance to me. Relax, my dear, and enjoy the weekend.” Grant opened a bottle of champagne and poured generous glasses. “Drago doesn’t usually partake, but when we’re on the island he can drink as much as he likes.”

Drago nodded as he downed the sparkling liquid in one big gulp.

“How about a tour of your home, Grant?”

Grant looked uneasily at Kara, but then he turned his attention to Drago. “Do me the honors, please. I believe I’ll visit with Denise. You don’t mind, do you, Kara?”

“Not at all.” If the old man was trying to make her jealous, it wasn’t working. Kara wanted him only for his money and nothing more. She was a little fearful, however, when Drago offered his hand, but the way his hand encased hers was somewhat reassuring and she relaxed as he guided her through the private home. The man’s hard exterior seemed to soften as he opened the door to each room. When he passed a door marked ‘private’ Kara asked what was inside.

Drago spoke softly, “Mr. Latham goes there to be alone or sometimes not so alone.”

“I see.”

They moved on, but when they came back around, they heard the deep voice of Grant Latham along with a giggling Denise. Drago stopped, so Kara wouldn’t see, but she saw anyway. The door to the room marked ‘private’ was opened and Grant and Denise went inside, closing the door behind them.

“Do not be upset,” Miss Kara.

“I’m not,” she lied.

Drago led her to a place within the home that was far removed from Grant’s room and motioned toward the photographs along the wall.

“What’s this?”

Clandestine Affairs

Clandestine Affairs
Called to her doctor’s office after hours, Leah finds him alone working on a novel. Asking for her assistance with the romantic scenes, he seems timid and not at all the man she is accustomed to seeing. When he confesses his darkest secret to her, she goes with him to his home and discovers the cold truth about the doctor.

Excerpt:
Leah was a very perceptive woman, but lately she had been slipping, and she swore the little hamster inside her head had fallen off of his wheel. She received a strange phone call from a man she knew professionally, but about whom she knew precious little personally. An esteemed physician, Dr. Holcomb called early one morning and asked if she wanted to be part of a research study.

“I will do anything I can to help you,” Leah replied sincerely. Dr. Holcomb seemed hesitant to continue, so Leah spoke for him. “Do you want me to come to your office?” She heard the doctor clear his throat and he sounded a bit sheepish as he suggested a day and time.

Leah parked her car in one of the designated spots outside Dr. Holcomb’s office and entered the building. It was early evening, long after the office had closed. The door was locked, so she tapped lightly on the door.

“Leah, come in.” The doctor smiled, which he rarely did, when he saw the beautiful big blue eyes of the blonde haired woman he had called earlier that day. He seemed nervous, which was unusual, although at times he had seemed shy in her presence. He wasn’t wearing his white lab coat, but instead was dressed casually. “Let’s get started,” he said with an uneasy smile. He placed a hand on the small of Leah’s back and motioned for her to walk with him toward the end of the hallway and around the corner to his private office.

Leah looked around at the empty desks. It was too quiet. “Has everyone gone home?”

“Yes,” Dr. Holcomb responded as he closed the door to his office. Leah took a seat in a chair facing Dr. Holcomb’s desk, but the doctor didn’t sit in his desk chair. He sat down next to Leah and pulled his laptop computer from the corner of his desk. Placing a hand on Leah’s arm, he began. “I apologize. There is no study. Do you remember what we talked about at your last appointment?”

Leah felt her heart begin to race. She was dying and he had called her here after hours to tell her. No, that was stupid. She would have been asked to make an appointment if that were the case. “I…no, I guess I don’t remember.”

No Goodbyes in Heaven

No Goodbyes in Heaven
No Goodbyes in Heaven is the dramatic sequel to Heroes Never Die.

For years, Stephanie has kept her location a secret, but she knows that Tareef will never rest until he brings her to justice. Tareef’s day for revenge comes when Stephanie is taken hostage in an intricate plan to lure her out of hiding, but now her family is at risk of being executed as well. Her husband, Brian, must turn to his rival, Kyle Robertson, for help even though he knows that Kyle is still in love with his wife. When Kyle learns that Stephanie deliberately kept a secret from him that would have changed the course of their lives, he is devastated. Kyle is faced with the decision of choosing between saving millions of lives from a deadly sarin gas attack, or saving Stephanie. Hearts are broken, lives are restored, and Stephanie finds out the hard way that there are No Goodbyes in Heaven.

Excerpt:
“Hello, Stephanie,” Kyle said in his cool Virginian accent. “It’s been a long time.” He was as handsome as ever, with blonde hair combed back over his head, his thick layers highlighting warm shades of brown. His full mouth framed a charming smile, and his wire rim glasses made his blue eyes look even more intelligent than he already was. Stephanie stared at her very first love, her hero, the man who had broken her heart, the man who had caused so much pain, the man who had risked everything to save her. Kyle smiled at her and looked deeply into her blue eyes, as though nothing had changed between them. “You’re even more beautiful than I remember. I’ve missed you, Stephanie. Admit it. You still love me. I can see it in your eyes.”

“I’m just surprised. How did you get past the security gate?”

“Really, Stephanie?” he questioned as though he had been insulted. “I can’t believe you need to ask.”

Suddenly she felt incredibly stupid for asking. He was Kyle Robertson, after all, and nothing seemed to be impossible for him. “You made it to the White House, Kyle. I always knew you would be the President one day.”

“You always did believe in me.” His warm smile suddenly faded and his face filled with sentimental regret. “But you were supposed to be there with me. I still want you, Stephanie.”

Stephanie curled her lip with disgust. “Forget it, Kyle. I hardly want to be forced to start a regimen of antibiotics. And when Brian finds out you let yourself in, he’s going to be furious with you.”

“What’s he going to do…give me an embolism?”

Stephanie wondered why he would accuse Brian of such a thing. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I thought you knew. Forget I said anything.”

“I know this isn’t a social call. Brian and I saw the news yesterday…along with the rest of the world. And what about me? I’m scared, Kyle.”

“You should know by now that I won’t let anything happen to you. I already have your home under surveillance, and no matter where you go, someone will be watching you. I promise we will find them before they find you.”

“Oh, please…you can’t even find the terrorists who bombed Midlands Hospital.”

“Come on, Stephanie. We knew who bombed Midlands Hospital within an hour after it happened.”

“Then why haven’t any arrests been made?”

“It’s complicated. Do you remember Abdullah’s son, Barraq…the one he took to George Town? You told us he was five years old at the time, and that he wanted to touch your blonde hair. Meet America’s newest terrorist. And he’s working with Tareef’s son, Tamir. Both Barraq and Tamir are Saudi princes. Our hands are tied.”

“What about Tareef? He’ll never rest until I’m dead.”

“I’m working on a long term solution.”

“And in the meantime?” she asked, her eyes wide with fear.

“In the meantime, you’re safe. I know you won’t admit it, but deep down in your heart you know you trust me, and I know you love me, too. Dig deep, Stephanie. It’s all there. Just once, I want to hear you say it…say you still love me.”

Stephanie shook her head. “Why don’t you leave the same way you came in and slither on out of here?”

Least Resistance

Least Resistance
The search for a Master can be exhausting, and finding a Master who can satisfy a woman the way she desires is nearly impossible, but with the right connections it can be accomplished.

The trip had been a long one and Kessa wanted more than anything to sleep, but there was no time. After her weekend with Master, he had given her just enough time to unpack the few things she was going to keep in her tiny apartment. She packed up the remainder of her things and stuffed her car for the drive to her new home. The apartment in the city would one day be sold. Kessa’s life was elsewhere now.

She left the city in darkness, driving for three hours to the forested hills upstate. As she approached the secluded facility that was now her home, she pressed the garage door opener and it appeared that a section of the hill opened. She drove inside and the door closed behind her. Hidden by the blackness of the hills, Kessa locked her car and opened the door to her secretive abode. She flipped the switch and the lights came on one by one. She cleared the desk in Master’s office and tried to make everything look perfect, breathing a sigh of relief when the side door opened.

“You are on time tonight.”

“Yes,” Master replied.

Kessa stood, as was expected, and welcomed the man she knew only as Master.

“Hurry, Kessa, I cannot wait any longer.”

Kessa had made a promise her first night never to deny this man. Master had taken her in every way imaginable that first weekend, and she had never been happier. Kessa’s job claimed much of her time, and when she was away, she never lacked the attention of gorgeous men who wanted to take her home for the night, but she was never tempted. Master made certain that she was sexually satiated before she left on a business trip as well as upon her return home.

In her dreams that night, Kessa began thrashing about in the bed and then she felt the warm body wrap around her. The warmth of Master’s naked form was comforting, as it had always been.

“Wake up, Kessa,” the deep voice commanded.

Kessa wrestled with her dreams and finally shook them from her mind. “Master?”

The big man pulled her onto his naked form, wrapped his arms around her, and said, “Sleep, my love.”

Kessa smoothed her hands along Master’s arms. It was the first time he had mentioned the word love.
