He wanted to hate her, but how could he? He felt protective of the naïve young woman.
When Janie is sent to live among the Sioux, she is met by a proud native, as well as his sarcastic remarks and smirky grin. She wants to hate him, but she needs him to survive on the reservation, where life is filled with hardship. Beneath the hard exterior and demeaning words of the proud man lies a warrior with a heart of gold, but he will never allow the privileged young white woman to know the truth about him, or let down his guard in her presence, no matter how much she needs or wants him. He has other intentions.
“You want me to leave, don’t you? You have done nothing but give me a hard time since I got here, with your paleface comments, your smirky grins, your blame, and your backward thinking that I can’t do anything. You are a male chauvinist pig!” Janie could see him clench and unclench his fists and she knew she had gotten to him.
He turned around, pulled her to him, and locked his legs around hers. He placed his strong hands on her face and bent her head back. “You have no idea what I am thinking.”
She stared at him, her face smooshed between his warm brown hands. He towered over her and she felt as if she were shrinking by the second. The blue eyes that stared up at him were kind with their sparkle and their naïve brilliance, and he wished he could build a protective shield around her and keep her for his own.
“What… what is it now, Janie?”
“My face is squished.”
He wrapped her long brown hair around one hand and gently kissed her parted lips. He hadn’t meant for it to happen, but it had, and he didn’t want to stop. He kissed her with passion, and in a way that was new to young Janie. He couldn’t get enough of the woman whose skin was as white as snow. When he felt the slender arms on his back, he held her closer. When he finally found the strength to pry his lips from hers, he held her to his chest and kissed her neck.
Janie turned her head to breathe, and thought about how she had watched him sleeping earlier that day when she stopped at the door to his room. He had worn absolutely nothing, with no blanket covering any part of him. He was perfect… all of him. His chest was broad, his stomach like a washboard, his legs as thick as tree trunks, and what lay between them was meant to be hers and no one else’s. She had tiptoed quietly by, wishing she were not a virgin.

LOVING is Book 5, and the EXCITING CONCLUSION,
of the MASKED EMOTIONS series.
Enzio is determined to find Joslin’s killer and bring him to justice, but Enzio’s title as Grand Master of the Master’s Society is on the line, and the Coronation is coming up. Doms from all over the world will be vying for the title, doing their best to take down the young masked Dom.
While Enzio is away, Lana begins to doubt that she can be a part of his lifestyle. This is who he is, but what about her? Is it a game to her, a hobby, or is it a part of her, too?
The second the bartender placed the shot glass filled with rum in front of him, Enzio just stared at it, thinking about everything that had happened in the past month and a half. “Are you going to drink it this time, buddy?” the bartender asked sarcastically, but Enzio ignored him. He stared at the glass and continued to think about Joslin’s death, blaming himself for being too slow, for not convincing her to stay at the loft, for not… keeping his promise that he would protect her. He placed his hand on the glass and stared at it. Since Joslin’s death, he had been engulfed in rage. He hated who he had become. Lana, on the other hand, had been perfect. She had been spending almost all of her free time with Sarah, feeding her, singing to her, and yet he hadn’t been able to be in the same room as his little girl for longer than a minute before he had a flashback of that fateful night. He knew he should be a father to his newborn, but he couldn’t see beyond his constant anger.
He placed the glass back down and stared at it, trying his best to ease himself from the constant building stress. “Hey, you.” He looked over as Rachel sat down beside him. She took the glass and drank it in a second. “Barkeep, another one please,” she yelled, before looking back at Enzio. “It’s been a month since she died and you haven’t once held your daughter,” she complained, “You haven’t once spent any real time with Lana, and sex doesn’t count, and you’re constantly angry.” She raised the glass and drank it. “The Coronation is in a month and you are not ready. You are competing to get your seat back and you are the Master of Ceremonies. You need to get your head in order.”
“I CAN’T!” he shouted, causing the people in the bar to look at him.
Rachel rested her head on his shoulders. “Enzio, no one can change what happened last month. You’ve been angry and it’s understandable. But you have to think about Lana and your daughter. Right now Lana is in the loft, and how do you think she feels? You don’t talk to her and when you do, you yell at her.” She placed her hand over his. “Enzio, you’ve got her, but at this rate, you will lose her.”
Darla stood in front of the mirror, hating the way she looked. Since being Marcus’s Sub, she had lost ten pounds, but she wished it was more. Yet he didn’t seem to mind. He kept telling her how beautiful, desirable, and sexy she was. But she felt disgusting, too disgusting to be with him. Marcus approached her from behind, wrapped his arms around her and deeply inhaled her hair. “You are beautiful, you know that, right?” Her bottom lip began to tremble as her eyes watered. He noticed her change in demeanor and slowly turned her around. “Hey, are you okay?”
“Mar… Marcus, do you really find me attractive?” Her voice shook, causing him to look at her strangely.
“Of course I find you attractive.”
“You’re not just saying that?” She shoved herself back and wrapped her arms around her body. “Look at me. I’m fat and I’m not that pretty, so how could you…”
Marcus took a step forward and forced her to look at him. “I am looking at you and I see a beautiful woman with an angelic face, full lips, a very bouncy ass, and plenty to hold on to.” He kissed her before slowly backing her toward the bed. “Let me remind you how desirable you really are.” He pushed her onto the bed and spread her legs apart.
“Darla, can I?”
She looked directly into his eyes. “Yes Marcus, please.”
He stood up and slowly removed his pants. It was the first time she had ever seen him before. She had felt him on several occasions, and what she knew was that he was thick. When she saw the real thing, she froze at the sight and actually thought about telling him to put it back in his pants.
“I love you, Darla,” he gasped as he entered her slowly.
“Mistress Lana, I am proof that you can have it all in this lifestyle. However, it’s not for everyone.”
Lana had no response.
“The Master’s Society has a dark past, but we believe that Enzio is the man who can bring our Society to the next generation. Unlike the other young Masters, he has retained the belief and the knowledge of his peers, and perhaps his bloodline will guide our Society forward.”
Lana did not reply.

Michael Cartwright has made billions in the oil industry, but he never passes on an opportunity to make more. His latest venture takes him to Appalachia… coal country… where he meets Jenny, a sweet waitress who he can’t help but fall in love with. But can a girl far removed from the glamorous life that Michael has carved out for himself adjust to life in his world… and is it fair to ask her to?
Jenny turned and started to walk away but Michael pulled her back with an arm around her waist. He slowly raised his hands and gently touched her smooth young face. He wanted to kiss her slightly parted lips, but he feared rejection from the sweet innocent woman. He knew that he had to kiss her, though, or he would regret it. He held her tightly and ran his tongue along her parted lips. He pressed his lips to hers and kissed her the way that Jenny had been dying to be kissed. It was her first kiss with someone as mature and worldly as Michael. She kissed him, her mouth opening in a passionate response, and she imagined him being her first lover. Then she stopped and pulled back. What had she done? She didn’t want this beautiful stranger to think she was easy.
Michael continued to hold her as she tried to pull away. “Jenny?”
“I can’t, I’m sorry.” She started to walk away but Michael held her arm. “What are you afraid of?” A backward glance from her showed hurt in the young woman’s eyes. “I’m not fancy like you. I’m a coal miner’s daughter. I’m nothing special.”

He knew that white diamond was code for the kind of woman forbidden to a man like him, but that only fueled the fire burning deep within him. She was the one he wanted, and only he could give her what she needed. Determined to have her, he vows to lock her away from the world if that’s what it takes to keep her.
Vicki felt uneasy with a man in her house and she wanted to ask him to leave, but she also wanted to know why he had come to her house at such an odd time of the night. “Why did you come into my house?”
“Curiosity, I suppose. I watched you move in and I know you live here alone.” His eyes seemed to become darker as he flashed his white teeth in a wide smile.
“What do you want from me?”
“Ah, the pretty white princess is just like all the rest, is she?”
“No, and I’m not a princess. I’m divorced and I have a low paying job.” Vicki bit her lip. She should never have admitted that she was divorced. Now he knew that she was truly alone.
“You don’t say? I see that you’ve discovered the dark secret of the neighborhood.” Vicki gave him a quizzical look. Wilson held out his hand. “Come on, I’ll show you.
Wilson’s house was filled with beautiful artwork and ancient relics. “Passed down through the generations,” he answered to her unasked question.
“You have nice things.”
“You sound surprised.”
“I didn’t mean it that way. Is this what you wanted to show me?”
“No.” He led her to the very back of the house and opened a door that Vicki assumed led to the basement. Instead, it opened to a room with thick cement walls.
Vicki spun around. “This is just…”
“Like the one in your house?”
Vicki nodded her head in disbelief.
Wilson gently touched her chin and startled her. “Hey, I didn’t mean to bring you down. It is what it is.”
Vicki looked up into big dark eyes as she fought back tears. She blinked several times and then she felt the strong arms wrap around her. Her eyes met the man’s waist and she slowly wrapped her slender arms around him. His skin was smooth and warm and Vicki didn’t want to let go. Her husband had never held her like this. “How do you do it?” Her words were mumbled, but Wilson had heard them.
Wilson took a deep breath. “What choice do I have?”
Vicki shook her head against Wilson’s chest. He stroked her long blonde hair, running the silky strands through his fingers. Vicki slowly looked up again, and Wilson lowered his lips to hers. It was the first time a man had wanted her in a long time and it felt good, too good, and Vicki opened her mouth to receive him. She kissed him as she would a lover, pressing her body to him and standing on tiptoe to give him more. She could feel him grow hard against her and she wanted to feel him deep inside of her.
Wilson pulled back and looked into her eyes, questioning her. “What do you want from me, Vicki?”
“I want you,” she whispered.
